Boudain Sliders

Hope y’all are recovering well from your weekend of love! I’ve got a super yummy/quick dinner/lunch/anytime meal to share. This is one of my husband’s favorites, by far. To be honest, I’d never even tried boudain before I met him & I was missing out!

Boudin Sliders for a Cajun Dinner!

These couldn’t be easier to put together for a weeknight dinner. You’ll need boudain, Cajun seasoning of choice, fish fry mix & slider buns. We used some Sister Schuberts, but regular buns or even biscuits work great.

You’re basically making boudin balls then squashing them inbetween a bun.

First you’ll need to remove the casing on the sausage. You can do this by piercing the casing with a paring knife & running it along the length of the sausage. Boudin is extremely fragile, so very carefully remove the casing from the links. Now, use a knife to cut the boudin into 2″-3″ chunks. Do not try to form balls or change the shape whatsoever because they will fall apart in your hands & will not squish back together. Expect to loose a little bit. Roll the chunks in the seasoning mix & coat thoroughly.

Next, roll them in the fish fry mix.

Fry them in oil at 350 degrees for a min & a half to 2 minutes per side, until all sides are browned. Place cooked balls onto paper towels to drain until you have finished.
