Years ago in my decade of wedding magazine collecting, I came across my most favorite idea. I saw a set up of elaborate, vintage frames filled with old wedding photographs. The pictures were of the bride & grooms parents, grandparents & even great-grandparents. I held that image until it was finally time to use the idea myself.
It was definitely one of my favorite parts of our wedding decor.
This is how we had it set up at the wedding.
Looooove it! I knew I wanted to find a spot to put it all up in our home afterwards, but hadn’t gotten around to it until recently.
I decided I needed to make a special print to go along with the gallery wall. So I made this one that says ‘Our Legacy of Love.’ I’m sharing it at the bottom of the post so you can have one for yourself too!
I added it to an extra frame & fancied it up a bit with some chalk paint.
I use command strips on everything I hang up so I don’t put holes in our walls. My husband appreciates it lol. It took a while to get copies of these photos all together, but it was so worth it! I plan to try to track down more of our great-grandparents & go as far back as possible. I may even add names & anniversaries later. It’s like a little wall of history.
Can you believe I found all of these frames at the thrift store for just $.50 each?
I just adore this photo of Michael’s grandparents. Off they go!
This once empty wall is so meaningful to me now! I am inspired by the legacy of love behind us. We are so blessed by these love stories.
Here’s the print for yourself!
