Stockings have always been a big deal in my house & they still are. it’s like the prelude to the gifts. Something not wrapped that can be opened first thing without having to wait on everyone else. It’s the pre game & it sets the stage for whats to come. My husband’s family didn’t really do stockings so he was kind of clueless when we decided to do stockings for each other last year. His stocking was bursting with greatness while mine had some candy & a pair of scissors. While I was indeed grateful that he tried, this year I’m trying to teach him how to stuff a stocking correctly.
I consider myself to be pretty darn good at filling stockings with lots of fun stuff, so I’m going to help y’all out too!
I know shopping for men can be very difficult. Filling their stockings can often be pretty tricky as well. So that’s who I’m focusing on today, those manly men in your life.
I’ve got some pretty solid ideas to share in the beloved art of stocking stuffing.
Here’s a sampling of what my husband’s stocking will look like.
I feel like there are 3 basic categories when it comes to stockings- food, toys & useful things. I make sure to cover all 3 & then include 1 main attraction, a larger gift, in the stocking. I’d say food is the most important category to be covered. This is where you pull out all the favorite Christmas themed candy. Plus snacks, you know it’s probably going to be a long day with family ahead so now is the time to prepare.
This year’s main attraction is the Philips Norelco Multigroom 5100, so my husband can put his best face forward this holiday season! The Philips Norelco Multigroom 5100 men’s grooming kit comes with a fully washable, turbo-powered trimmer, detail trimmer, mini foil shaver, beard and stubble combs, nose trimmer, and a hair clipping comb.
This is always a go-to man gift, they all need that perfect holiday shave. Just be careful, gifting a razor always reminds me of the Grinch where they shave off the middle of their heads…ha!
You can find it at your closest Target on the shaving aisle. While you’re there, stop in the new Bullseye’s Playground, you’ll find more stocking stuffers there too.
Here’s a sampling of what I’ll be using in my manly man’s stocking…hopefully he isn’t reading today’s blog post! There’s his favorite candies, some good man snacks like beef jerky, some nice tweezers because he is always loosing his, plus some soap, hand sanitizer & handy man wipes. Every stocking needs something fun tucked in too, even if they’re an adult; so the slinky it is! Batteries & hand warmers are also extremely nice to have around this time of year & make great stocking stuffers.
Still need some ideas? I’ve compiled a very long list of ideas just for you!
