Bacon is like gold in my house. It’s literally used as a trading currency for favors. Those last few pieces are considered sacred.

That being said, I love adding bacon to anything & everything. Sweetening it up with brown sugar & mixing it into monkey bread seemed only natural to a bacon lovin’ gal like myself. I stick pretty close to the original recipe & fluff it up with a silky, vanilla glaze.

To make your own, gather up a package of Wright® Brand Bacon, found at your local Kroger, 2 cans of refrigerated biscuits, a stick & a half of butter, sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon & a bundt cake pan.

First, open up that delicious bag of Wright® Brand Bacon & get 6 pieces frying in a skillet, or go the less messy oven method if you prefer. I love how thick the slices of Wright® Brand Bacon are. Each piece is hand-selected & hand-trimmed, resulting in super hearty slices of bigger, better bacon flavor!

Sprinkle 1/3 c. brown sugar over the bacon & turn occasionally until cooked. Do not place on paper towels to drain, the bacon will stick to the paper towels.

While the bacon is frying, open up your 2 cans of biscuits.

Slice the biscuits up into quarters. While I used a knife here, using kitchen scissors would make quick work of this.

Look at that beautiful brown sugar glazed bacon! Move to a cutting board immediately & dice bacon into thick chunks. Watch out, things get awfully sticky with this stuff.

Stir together 1/2 c. sugar with 1 tsp. cinnamon in a large mixing bowl.

Add biscuit quarters & chopped bacon, reserving one slice for topping. Using your hands, fold the dough into the cinnamon sugar mixture & make sure each piece is well coated.

Arrange mixture in bundt cake pan. Be sure to spray it very well before hand! You won’t want to loose any of this goodness to the pan.

Melt a stick & a half of butter in the microwave.

Mix 1 c. brown sugar into the melted butter & pour over the biscuits. Bake at 350 for 30 min, until top is golden brown & middle is no longer doughy.

Remove from oven & let cool for 10 min.

While it’s cooling, stir together a vanilla glaze. You’ll need 1 c. powdered sugar, 3 Tbs. milk & 1/2 tsp. vanilla. Stir all ingredients together.

Once cooled, flip monkey bread over onto serving platter carefully. Pour glaze over bread & top with remaining bacon pieces.

Slice & serve immediately!
