DIY Spider Webs

Good Monday Morning!

We’re just a couple of days away from October so it’s the perfect time for Halloween crafts & decor! Plus the temperatures dropped about 10 degrees for us yesterday & I officially declared a 79 degree high as sweater weather.

I’m going to share some simple spider webs I made up for my first craft show ever last weekend. Everyone totally loved them & I’m sure you will too!

To make your own you’ll need- a crochet hoop (thrift store) / black twine (Target one spot) / sparkly spider (Michael’s)/ hot glue.

If you so desire you can spray paint the hoop black first, but I liked the raw, rustic wood look. Tie the twine around the top with a few good knots. Then wrap the twine around the hoop randomly securing at each loop with a dab of hot glue. Be sure to pull the twine taut between each loop.  Once you have enough web cut the end of the twine & secure the end to the hoop with hot glue.

Use more hot glue to attach a sparkly spider to the web.

If you’re feelin’ extra creepy, add in some fake flies or other bugs too. A sparkly spider was enough for me.

They come in several pretty colors so you can make a bright bunch!

This is a super fun craft for older kids to make too. See how I styled them on my Halloween mantle in this post! You can string a bunch of ’em up as well for a fun look or add them to creepy vignettes.

Don’t want to make your own? I’ve got a few already made up for ya in my etsy shop!

Blessings Y’all,

Cathryne
