I love the Melting Pot. I’ve only been maybe 3 times ever & one of those times I only had dessert. But it’s really that good. I think it would be the perfect place to have a fancy Valentine’s dinner. Except its pricey, far, & all the reservations are probably full already. Well, maybe. So I got to thinking I could totally do my own version of the Melting Pot at home on Valentine’s Day! I started researching for “copycat” recipes & was pleasantly surprised at the mass amount pins I found! I’ve gone through the recipes online & am sharing a collection of my favorites. You’ll have plenty to choose from for a fun, fancy dinner. You can probably do it better yourself than at the Melting Pot anyway because you can choose exactly which dippers you’d like (& save your man a lot of money)! Plus it’ll be even more enjoyable knowing you poured all that love into it! Right? Well, until you have clean up & do the dishes anyway.
Alright, here’s the recipes that looked/sounded the best to me!
First course is cheese. You can serve this with different warm breads, various cooked vegetables, & Italian meats.
You cold make this Wisconsin Trio Dip from Copykat Recipes
You could make this Wisconsin Trio Dip from Copykat Recipes.
Or this Traditional Swiss Fondue also from Copykat Recipes.
This Loaded Baked Potato Cheese Fondue from the Money Saving Queen looks amazing too!
Or give this Spinach Artichoke Cheese Fondue from Fav Family Recipes a try.
Now onto the main course, the meat! I found 2 different broth recipes for simmering. You can use basically anything for this course, some ideas are chicken, sirloin, duck, shrimp, potstickers, shrimp, lobster, raviolis, sausage, filet mignon, mushrooms, tofu, onion, artichoke hearts, & pork medallions. You can season & marinate the meats with whatever you’d like beforehand.
First up, the Mojo Broth from the Culinary Queen Bee.
& next the Coq Au Vin Broth from Eat Drink Love.
Alright, now we can get to the very best part of all- dessert!! Yayyyy!!! You can dip basically anything sweet into this- apples, strawberries, pineapple, bananas, cherries, pound cake, marshmallows, rice crispy treats, candy bars, cookies, oreos, cheesecake, wafer bars, brownies, blondies, pretzels etc.
Here’s the Original Chocolate recipe from Sporting Road. It includes peanut butter, just FYI!
This is the Chocolate S’mores Fondue from the Tastebook. Yummmmm!
Finally, the Flaming Turtle Chocolate Fondue on Fox News written by The Melting Pot!
Okay, now I have to pick the ones I want to make! Might have to choose more than one cheese! I’m so excited to do this for Valentine’s Day!
